Equinox is a brand of luxury gyms located throughout the US in big cities like Chicago, Boston, DC, Beverly Hills and New York, as well as Toronto in Canada and London in the United Kingdom. The London branch is conveniently located on Kensington High Street across from the High Street Kensington tube station, M&S and Whole Foods.

Equinox has everything you need in terms of gym equipment – free weights, resistance weights, as well as cardio equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and row machines. The gym also has separate Pilates, Yoga and cycling studios.

Extras

Equinox Kensington provides world-class personal training within their Three-Cycle-System, which is designed to keep its members interested and working at the correct level of fitness. After finishing the three cycles, you start again with the first cycle, but at a more advanced level, ensuring your own personal top level of fitness. Studies at the UCLA School of Medicine have confirmed that this exercise programme gives its members significant increases in lean body mass and better muscle strength.

Equinox has a spa with a range of services, such as massage, facials, bronzing, laser hair removal, lash extensions, teeth whitening, manicures and pedicures. There is even a ’24-Carat Gold Signature Facial’, which uses gold powder and silk to moisturise and reduce the appearance of wrinkles – not to mention a deluxe facial that uses caviar. Non-members are also welcome to use the spa services.
