The Rembrandt

Superbly located opposite the Victoria and Albert Museum with the Natural History Museum just metres along the street, the Rembrandt Hotel is a delightful Edwardian hotel with 193 rooms and suites. The building originally housed apartments owned by Harrods and the hotel’s style and presentation has remained faithful to its early 20th century origins. In addition to a collection of 4-star rated accommodation, the hotel offers a restaurant, bar and access to a health club at a heavily discounted rate.

Accommodation

With elegant design and contemporary furnishings that blend perfectly with the Edwardian building, the Rembrant’s accommodation is stylish and well-appointed. All of the rooms and suites have the use of complimentary Wi-Fi and smart televisions with local and international channels, pay-per-view movies, games and internet access. In addition, in-room amenities include a desk, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, and complimentary Gilchrist and Soames bath products.

A range of rooms are available. For great value for money, guests can choose the superior rooms, with double or twin beds, comfortable armchairs and en-suite bathrooms. Grand Rooms are indulgent spaces with a seating area that includes a sofabed and fresh fruit on arrival. In addition, family accommodation can be provided with interconnecting rooms, as well as accessible rooms with wheelchair friendly spaces and facilities.

Restaurants and Bars

The Palette, the Rembrandt’s restaurant, offers traditional British dining. Open daily between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and then again from 5.30pm until 10pm, the restaurant’s signature dish is the carvery, which is served most days with all of the trimmings expected from a traditional roast dinner. The restaurant’s menu also includes a number of international dishes to suit all tastes. Guests of the hotel are served a full English or continental breakfast in the Palette each morning and this is included in the room rate.

The 1606 Lounge Bar is a comfortable place to unwind with plush sofas and a real fire during the winter months. The bar is open every day from 10am until late and serves a selection of drinks and light bites, as well as Afternoon Tea between 2.30pm and 6.30pm.

Additional Facilities and Services

For £7.50 a day, guests of the Rembrandt have full access to the adjacent Aquilla Health and Fitness Club that is equipped with a 15-metre indoor heated swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, a steam room and a whirlpool. In addition, the health club also offers a luxury spa treatment menu.

The Rembrandt has six meeting suites and can accommodate up to 250 people for events with delegate packages and wedding packages available, which also include dining and accommodation.
