The Milestone Hotel

Comprised of three Victorian townhouses that overlook Kensington Gardens, the Milestone Hotel is quintessentially English in its style and sumptuously indulgent. The five-star rated hotel sits between High Street Kensington tube station and the Royal Albert Hall, whilst Hyde Park, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum are all a short walk away. As part of the luxury Red Carnation Hotels brand, the Milestone has a 24-hour butler service and exudes charm and sophistication.

Accommodation

Featuring antique furniture and taking inspiration from Royal dwellings, each one of the rooms, suites and apartments are uniquely decorated and designed to indulge and soothe. Rooms and suites are extremely well appointed with interactive televisions with on-demand movies, DVD and CD players, iPod docking stations, complimentary Wi-Fi and a mini bar. In addition, guests are greeted with fresh fruit and flowers on arrival.

There are 44 rooms and 12 suites and they are categorised as Superior Queen, Deluxe King/Twin, Deluxe Studio, Junior Suite and Master Suite. Deluxe rooms offer slightly more space, whilst many of the Deluxe Studios have a seating area. All have en-suite bathrooms with complimentary luxury brand bath products. Guests of the Master Suites benefit from additional amenities, including a chauffeur-driven Bentley and nightly complimentary canapés.

The Milestone has six two-bedroom apartments that are fitted with fully-equipped kitchens and a living room. The apartments also include televisions in each bedroom and the living room and guests receive a food hamper on arrival. Guests of the apartments have full access to the hotel’s facilities.

Restaurants and Bars

The Milestone’s restaurant, Cheneston’s, is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The intimate dining room features mahogany carved panelling and a large open fire. The restaurant serves British cuisine with classic favourites such as Sirloin of Angus Beef, Suffolk Belly Pork and Dover Sole all on the menu. Afternoon tea is served each day between 1pm and 5pm in the cosy Park Lounge that overlooks Kensington Gardens.

The hotel’s aptly named Stables Bar can be found in what was once the building’s stables and features equestrian memorabilia. Here guests can enjoy a cocktail or one of an extensive selection of fine wines, as well as a range of lighter meals and snacks.

Additional Facilities and Services

Guests of the Milestone can maintain their fitness within the hotel’s gym or in the hi-tech resistance pool that features a current of water to swim against. For a more relaxing experience, spa therapies are available either in the treatment room or within individual hotel rooms.

The hotel can host a number of events including weddings for up to 50 people.

Pets are welcome in the hotel and will be provided with a welcome hamper, a custom made bed, as well as pet food and mineral water.
