The Egerton House Hotel

Operated by the Red Carnation Hotels Group, renowned for providing luxury accommodation, the Egerton House Hotel is a five-star rated boutique style accommodation in the heart of Knightsbridge. After spending the day perusing Harrods and the plethora of designer shops found in London’s fashionable quarter, guests can rest in a period property that oozes charm and sophistication. Both Knightsbridge and South Kensington tube station are nearby, as are a number of London’s top museums.

Accommodation

Each one of the 28 rooms and suites within the Egerton House Hotel has been individually designed with regency comfort in mind. The property’s original Victorian features are enhanced with antique style furniture and plush fabrics. Walls are adorned with original artwork, including that by notable artists Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec and Matisse, giving the hotel a bohemian flair. Each room benefits from modern amenities that include a smart television with cable channels and on-demand movies with access to the Internet via the complimentary Wi-Fi. In addition, there is an iPod docking station, a mini bar and fresh fruit provided.

Choose from a Classic Double, a Deluxe Queen/Twin/King or a Suite. All rooms have marble bathrooms that have flat screen televisions and complimentary toiletries. The larger Deluxe rooms have seating areas and there is one signature suite with its own private garden terrace.

Restaurants and Bars

The hotel has a small but elegant dining room that is open to hotel residents only. The menu consists of classic dishes such as chicken noodle soup and mushroom stroganoff, as well as unique offerings, such as the Waygu burger, made from Japanese Waygu cattle that are bred for their marbled meat. Guests can also opt to dine in-room or in the hotel’s comfortable drawing room. It is here that Afternoon Tea is also served daily.

Guests receive a warm welcome from the Egerton House Hotel’s barman, Antonio, who is an experienced mixologist. The bar also offers a selection of snacks.

Additional Facilities and Services

Guests of the Egerton are provided with a free pass to the local LA Fitness Platinum Spa and Health Club that is fitted with a pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and gym.

The hotel has a partnership with a number of practitioners who offer a selection of in-room treatments, therapies and one-to-one training sessions covering topics such as relaxation and fitness. In addition, guests are entitled to a 20% discount at a local hair and beauty salon.
