The Cranley Hotel

Located on a calm residential street that lies south of Kensington Gardens and is filled with Victorian townhouses, the Cranley Hotel is a boutique guesthouse that exudes English charm and sophistication. What was once three former residences has now been transformed into an intimate hotel with period features and regency style décor. The Cranley is a 5-minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station giving guests excellent access across London. The South Kensington Museum and the Royal Albert Hall are all within easy walking distance.

Accommodation

The hotel aspires to be “home” for guests during their London stay with cosy rooms, soothing regency hues and warm inviting spaces. Amenities available in the rooms include a flat screen television, a DVD player, complimentary Wi-Fi, an iPod docking station, a mini-bar and a safe. It should be noted that rooms do not include tea and coffee making facilities; however, drinks can be ordered 24-hours a day to be delivered directly to the room.

The accommodation ranges in size with the smallest available being the Classic Room and the largest being the Penthouse Suite. All are elegant in design with antique furniture, hand-stitched linen and original features. Some rooms have four-poster beds and a comfortable seating area. All rooms and suites include an antique writing desk, as well as en-suite bathroom facilities, some with walk-in showers and others with showers over the bathtub.

Restaurants and Bars

The Cranley has no formal restaurant or bar. The 24-hour room service menu has a good selection of British dishes with main meals and snacks available, as well as hot and alcoholic drinks. A continental breakfast can be provided each morning in room, and, between 7pm and 8pm each evening, guests are provided with complimentary Champagne or Wine and canapés. Home baked goods are provided each day with the turndown service and there is even an honesty bar in the hotel’s lounge/reception area.
