Since its establishment in 1971, the Capital Hotel has remained under ownership by the same family who have consistently maintained a high calibre of accommodation. Accommodation
The Capital Hotel offers 49 rooms, suites and apartments. Each one has been individually styled, with many showcasing works from British designers such as David Linley and materials designed by Ralph Lauren. Luxury amenities include Nespresso coffee machines, smart televisions with Internet connectivity and satellite channels, complimentary Wi-Fi and hand stitched mattresses finished with Egyptian cotton linen.
The collection of accommodation available ranges from Classic Rooms with Queen size beds to Two Bedroom Apartments that offer plenty of space with an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, as well as two bathrooms. All accommodation includes en-suite bathroom facilities with complimentary exclusive bath products.
Restaurants and Bars
Led by Nathan Outlaw, voted “AA Chef’s Chef of the Year 2014-15”, the Michelin Starred restaurant, Outlaw’s At The Capital, champions seasonal seafood predominately sourced from Outlaw’s native Cornwall. The restaurant is open Mondays to Saturdays for lunch and dinner.
In the Capital Bar, hotel residents can enjoy a light lunch or afternoon tea, as well as an impressive selection of drinks from Bar Manager, Cesar De Silva, who has an extensive knowledge of Scottish Whiskey, as the UK’s youngest “Keeper of the Quaich”.

There are two function rooms available for hire that can accommodate up to 30 people for business or social events and dining options can be included.
