Royal Garden Hotel

Opened in 1965 on the site of the former Victorian era Palace Hotel, the Royal Garden Hotel is a large modern building that underwent a multi-million pound refurbishment that completed in May 2011. Rated as a 5-star hotel, the Royal Garden is beautifully styled with 394 rooms and suites and is located on the south-west corner of Kensington Gardens, close to Kensington Palace. High Street Kensington tube station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and the iconic Royal Albert Hall is within walking distance.

Accommodation

The Royal Garden’s rooms feature sumptuous fabrics, en-suite bathrooms with Penhaligon toiletries and views of Kensington Gardens or Kensington High Street. In-room amenities include flat-screen televisions, digital media hubs, iPod docking stations, and Wi-Fi access. The smallest Queen rooms have a desk and a comfortable seat. For an indulgent treat, choose one of the four Master Suites that have separate living and dining rooms, kitchenettes and panoramic views. All accommodation also benefits from 24-hour room service.

Restaurants & Bars

There are two restaurants and two bars within the Royal Garden. Min Jiang is located on the 10th floor and has fantastic views of the area. This authentic Chinese restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and the restaurant’s lavish interior transports diners into the Orient. Alternatively, Park Terrace is open all day from 6.30am and serves seasonal British cuisine in a light and airy space that overlooks Kensington Gardens.

Park Terrace Bar is open from 11am and is ideal for business meetings or a relaxing drink. In addition to cocktails and other drinks, the bar has a tapas style menu for a selection of savoury snacks and sharing platters. Bertie’s Bar is a favourite of local celebrities and is a lively space with a number of cosy booths for a more intimate experience. Bertie’s is open from 5pm until 2am Monday to Saturday.

Additional Facilities & Services

Anytime Fitness have recently taken over operation of the Royal Garden’s Health Club and it was refurbished during the summer of 2014. It is equipped with a gym, sauna and steam room and a number of spa treatments are available.

There are 10 meeting and conference spaces available with a capacity of up to 550 people and state-of-the-art technology. There is a 24-hour business centre adjacent to the hotel’s lobby that is fitted with a number of PC’s, printer-copiers and secretarial services are available.

For guests with children, babysitting services can be provided for a surcharg, and there is also a children’s room service menu.
