In an area brimming with designer stores and sophisticated eateries, No. 11 Cadogan Gardens is a luxurious five-star hotel with an opulent design that exudes charm and elegance. Just off Sloane Square, the hotel is housed within four Victorian townhouses that were once owned by John Lewis - founder of the national department store chain. His flagship store, Peter Jones, is close by, as is Harrods and the Royal Mews. The hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group and is just that with refined interiors that feature Murano chandeliers, brocade fabrics, bespoke furniture, as well as being a favourite for famous personalities.
Accommodation
All of the 54 rooms and suites have been refurbished to a very high standard and no two rooms are the same. Choose a room with a delightful floral design, one with deep red velvet fabrics and a dramatic four-poster bed or perhaps opt for classic creams and whites. Standard amenities include LCD televisions with local and international digital channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Some of the rooms and suites at the higher end of the price range include Nespresso coffee making machines and televisions over the bathtubs.
Guests can choose from a Superior, Deluxe Room or one of the suites. Rooms have armchairs, whilst suites have sofas either in an open plan setting or in a separate lounge. All of the accommodation benefits from marble bathrooms with luxury fittings and complimentary bath products by Ormande Jayne, which is a local perfumery.
Restaurants and Bars
French and Italian cuisine is served Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner in the hotel’s Tartufo Restaurant that is housed in two intimate Victorian style dining rooms adorned with prints from Western European artists. The restaurant has an extensive wine list and private dining options are available.
The hotel’s cocktail bar has a limited food menu with light meals and snacks and has a selection of drinks available that includes vintage Champagnes.
Afternoon Tea is served each day in the hotel’s drawing room that features comfortable sofas, armchairs and period features, including a working fireplace.
Additional Facilities and Services
In the basement of the hotel, there is a well-appointed gym with a collection of cardiovascular machines and free weights.
Guests can unwind in the hotel’s Library Room - a delightful space that recreates a traditional English stately home library with large comfortable chairs and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
