Close to South Kensington tube station, and within walking distance of a number of London’s designer department stores and boutiques, MyHotel Chelsea is excellently located for travellers wishing to base themselves in London’s upmarket quarter. The MyHotels Group operates a number of Feng Shui inspired hotels in the UK under the leadership of CEO, Andy Thrasyvoulou who is a firm believer in the oriental philosophy. This is echoed in the hotel’s interior design that strives to create a soothing, yet glamorous, environment.
Accommodation
MyHotel Chelsea has 45 rooms and suites. Many feature bespoke furniture with an elegant and timeless design. Warm colours and soft fabrics complete the look. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat screen television with a DVD player and on demand pay-per-view movies, a mini bar and a desk. Guests staying in the suites benefit from additional amenities, including Sky Sports and Sky Movie channels, a personal computer and complimentary items in the mini bar.
Guests can choose from Standard rooms, Superior Double rooms or a Junior Suite. Superior Rooms and Junior Suites are more spacious and both have comfortable seating. Alternatively, guests can choose from one of three unique suites. The 210th suite, for example, is designed for couples seeking an intimate and erotic break away and includes additional items such as massage oils, satin blindfolds and “saucy assignments”. Other options include the Geisha suite, which features original artwork and the Thai suite, which takes inspiration from Thailand and Buddhism.
Restaurants and Bars
MyHotel Chelsea has two options for dining, both of which were recently established within the hotel. The Pellicano restaurant is a family run Italian/Sardinian restaurant that has relocated to MyHotel Chelsea and offers fresh cuisine inspired by Italy and Sardinia. Wine is sourced directly from wineries in Sardinia and the menu changes with the seasons. Breakfast is served here and continental and cooked options are available.
Tanya’s is operated by detox and raw food expert, Tanya Alekseeva, and everything on the menu is raw, organic, vegetarian and ethnically sourced. The Café is open daily for breakfast and lunch with superfood cocktails served in the evening.
