Bold and vibrant colours permeate throughout the Hotel Indigo London Kensington, a four-star rated hotel, that underwent an extensive renovation in 2012. Featuring a lobby in the style of Parisian Bohemia and walls adorned with quirky art prints, this uniquely presented hotel offers an alternative to many of the more traditional London guesthouses.
Accommodation
Lively blues, pinks, greens and purples are found in Hotel Indigo’s 100 rooms and suites, along with modern art prints, contemporary furniture and plush rugs and cushions. Each room is different from the next, creating a boutique style feel to the hotel. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, televisions with satellite channels, a desk with a lamp and a telephone, a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities.
Superior and Executive Club rooms are available, as well as Suites. In the Executive Club rooms and Suites, there are iPod-docking stations included. Additionally, all rooms have en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, with Executive Club rooms and Suites benefiting from luxury walk-in rain showers. Suites also have a separate dressing room and a seating area.
Restaurants and Bars
Guests can dine in the Victorian themed restaurant and bar, the Mansion Bar and Parlour, which specialises in cocktails. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu consists of classic British bar style food with an extensive choice for breakfast in particular. There is also a bistro style fixed price menu with a delightful range of options to suit a variety of tastes. All staff are given the title of either Lord or Lady to make visiting the Mansion a truly unique experience. Furthermore, on Sundays, the Kensington Music Club provides live Blues and Jazz to accompany a traditional Sunday roast dinner.
Additional Facilities and Services
There is a small fitness centre within the hotel that includes a treadmill, exercise bike, cross trainer and free weights.
The hotel has two iPads available for the use of guests.
